Katie Monnig, LCPC

Katie has been providing counseling services for over a decade. She has worked with all ages across community agencies, schools and private practice, and now focuses on supporting adult clients.

Katie brings an integrative and holistic  approach to counseling, drawing primarily from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, somatic therapy (body-focused), EMDR therapy, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. She loves to educate clients about the brain, mind-body connection, and small ways they can make progress towards their particular goals.

As a therapist, Katie is warm, calm, supportive and non-judgmental.  She views the counseling process as highly collaborative, empowering her clients through a combination of education, curiosity, experiential exercises, and tangible tools. Katie considers it a deep privilege to be a compassionate witness and support her clients along their unique journey. There are many paths to healing and she is committed to helping her clients find what works best for them.

Katie offers specialized care in depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, chronic pain, and grief/loss.  She is particularly passionate about perinatal mental health, providing support to pregnant and postpartum women navigating the transition and unique challenges of early motherhood and parenting.
